Reserving a bird:
To reserve a bird, a non-refundable deposit is required. A deposit will guarantee you a bird and must be picked up on an agreeable date. Small birds such as Quakers, Sun Conures or Green Cheeks require a $300 deposit. Large birds such as African Greys, Amazons, Cockatoos, Pionus or Macaws require a $800 deposit. In addition, rare species or mutations such as Hyacinth Macaw, Black Palm Cockatoo, Blue Eclectus (mutation), or Major Mitchell Cockatoos will require a 50% deposit.
All deposits are non-refundable. The non-refundable deposit can be applied toward the purchase of another bird within 3 days of receiving initial deposit.
When your bird is reserved with a deposit, we will update you with pictures on Instagram as your baby grows. Please contact us by phone or email to reserve your baby and/or confirm availability.
Payment Options:
We accept Cash, PayPal, Checks, Money Orders or Direct Deposit. If paying via PayPal, 3.2% will be required to be added to the TOTAL sales price in order to cover the PayPal transaction fees. If paying via check or money order, please give us 3-5 business days for the check to clear out before a bird can be released to a customer. We do NOT sell unweaned babies via PayPal.

Health Guarantee:
All our babies (weaned or un-weaned) are DISEASE TESTED negative for Polyomavirus (PVD), Avian Borna virus (ABV), Proventricular Dilatation Disease (PDD), Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD), and Chlamydia psittaci. We provide paperwork with every bird we sell.
We guarantee that there are no symptoms of disease or parasites at the time of sale and that our birds are completely healthy. This means that our birds are free of viral infections, pathogenic bacterial infections, fungal infections, and congenital defects. When a customer purchase a bird(s) from us, we provide our customers 7 days of health guarantee on birds that are weaned (eating on their own). Within the first 7 days of the purchase, customers are encouraged to take the bird(s) to an avian veterinarian voluntarily. If an avian veterinarian states that the bird was Unfit for sale (not healthy), a certificate/paperwork must be presented to JC aviary within 24 hours of exam for exchange or full refund of the bird(s).
In addition, any bird(s) taken and hand fed by customers are not qualified for any guarantee. There are no refund(s), exchange or another free bird if a customer is unable to take care of an unweaned bird(s).
In the event buyer fails to have the bird(s) examined by an avian veterinarian within 7-day period after pickup or delivery, then the buyer understands and agrees that the sale is final and there is no guarantee/refund on the bird(s) anymore.

When you purchase a bird from JC aviary, we are committed to offer support and guidance to you and your family.
DNA Sexing:
DNA sexing is also available at an additional cost of $40 per bird.
Supplies:
Supplies (e.g. food, cages, playgyms, toys etc.) will not be refunded if opened.
Nail & Wing Trimming:
Nail & Wing trimming service is provided by appointment only. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment. Grooming fees: $65
Additionally, we trim bird's nails and wings prior to him/her going to its new home for free. Each one of our babies is allowed to fledge naturally and fly repeatedly prior to receiving their first wing trimming. If a customer prefers to not have their birds wings trimmed, they must let us know at the time of leaving a non-refundable deposit.
Local Pickup Policy:
Please bring cash with you on the day of pick up.
We must reserve time for everyday aviary maintenance. As a result, all customers must call or email us the day before the pick up date to schedule an appointment with us. With our busy schedule, our pick up date could change (very-rarely). Therefore, a customer must set up an appointment with us a day in advance to confirm our meeting schedule for the next day.
Sales Tax:
Purchases made within the state of Texas will be charged with sales tax.
Shipping Policy:
We take care of all the flight/shipping arrangements. All you have to do is to pickup your bird at your nearest airport with a Valid I.D. Simple and Safe!
We will coordinate flight times with our customer a few days in advance before the bird is being shipped (weather permitting). The customer is supplied with the airline, flight number(s), air waybill number, and flight arrival time prior to departure. It is recommended that the customer arrive at the airport no later than the expected flight arrival time so that your bird is not waiting at the airport for any length of time.
We will contact our customer once again on the day of shipment before the bird departure our aviary. A return call, text or e-mail to JC aviary letting us know that the bird(s) arrived safely is greatly appreciated.
All sales are final when the birds are shipped. There are no returning the birds. We have a 24 hour limit of notification, after deliver of the birds, of any death at the point of delivery, specified on the order. Immediate inspection is necessary to insure damage didn't occur during shipping and the birds are alive at delivery. We will replace the dead bird or refund the cost of the bird one time, but not the shipping cost.
Shipping charges $185 nationwide.
Any bird that leaves our aviary must be paid in full before the bird is shipped.
We offer shipping within the U.S. We do NOT offer international shipping to any other country.

By visiting our website or purchasing a bird from us, a customer agrees to our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to refuse service and/or to sell to anyone. In addition, we reserve the right to provide any other policy suitable prior to selling a bird(s) if necessary.
